Kurzgesagt is a science education channel on YouTube known for making complex topics accessible through vibrant illustrations and playful animation. For this project, I illustrated and animated a seven-second intro tag that takes the viewer on a “deep dive” through a dynamic grid of geometric panels, revealing the Kurzgesagt wordmark and logo emerging from outer space. The grid structure highlights the range of subjects the channel explores while introducing a clean, technical feel that supports its informative nature. To maintain the channel’s lighthearted tone, I drew from Kurzgesagt’s signature style, including their fun characters, simplified shapes, bright colors, soft edges, and smooth, bouncy motion.
