As the Creative Director of Pathos Literary Magazine, a student-run publication under Portland State University, my role is to visually elevate the creative output of our student contributors through our magazine as well as our various media channels. The magazine itself serves as a platform for showcasing poetry, prose, artwork, and photography made by the Portland State community.
To honor the voices and visions of our contributors, I prioritize a clean and minimalist design approach, ensuring that each piece has their moment to take center stage while still maintaining a cohesive visual identity. The use of intentional white space, balanced typography, and structured layouts creates a polished and immersive experience for our readers.
